Luxury Product Data Architecture — Tiffany & Co
Luxury Product Data Architecture for Global Omnichannel Distribution
Tiffany & Co required a product data architecture capable of supporting omnichannel distribution across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Doctor Project delivered PIM scoping and product taxonomy design for 15,000+ SKUs spanning jewelry collections, high-jewelry, and seasonal capsules — each with distinct attribute models, photography standards, and localization requirements. The engagement covered full data model design, channel mapping, and technical specification for a headless-commerce-ready PIM deployment on Akeneo.

Managing Complex Luxury Product Data Across Global Channels
Luxury product data at Tiffany & Co is structurally different from standard retail catalogs. Each SKU carries gemological attributes, provenance data, country-specific regulatory descriptors, and channel-specific photography requirements. Legacy spreadsheet-based workflows created attribute inconsistency across channels, delayed time-to-market for new collections, and introduced brand integrity risks at the digital touchpoint. Localization for 8+ market zones required a structured override model — one that did not exist in the previous setup.

PIM Architecture, Taxonomy Design, and Headless Commerce Data Model
Designed a product data architecture anchored on Akeneo PIM as the single source of truth for 15,000+ SKUs across 8 product families. Defined taxonomy for jewelry, watches, and accessories with family-specific attribute models. Mapped data flows from creation to syndication: PIM to DAM to headless storefront to marketplace feeds. Delivered an enrichment workflow specification reducing estimated time-to-publish by 60% for new collections. Produced full technical specifications for the Akeneo implementation including channel configuration, locale setup, and API integration points.
