In early 2026, the group faced a critical product data challenge: a 55,000-SKU catalog with inconsistent enrichment, missing ETIM classifications, and no scalable process for bulk data operations. As PIM Program Lead, the engagement covered end-to-end AI-powered enrichment architecture within Akeneo PIM — from rule design to AI configuration and quality governance. The objective: reach 80% catalog coverage in under three months, without increasing headcount.

B2B product catalogs in the home improvement sector carry a specific complexity: ETIM technical classification, multi-channel attribute requirements, and strict normalization rules for professional buyers. Brico Dépôt's catalog had grown organically over years, with inconsistent data entry, incomplete technical attributes, and no programmatic enrichment workflow. Manual enrichment at this scale would have required a team of 10+ data operators working for six months. The challenge was to design an architecture that could produce quality product data at machine speed, without compromising accuracy or ETIM compliance.
